This work was created as a Progressive Rock album. There are elements from Power Metal, Industrial, and Pop and is riddled with acoustic and electronic inserts and melodies that will instantly be remembered.
As well as the strong guitar-driven core of the music there are keyboard heavy sections, and acoustic guitar sections. It’s a mix that could easily have failed to work but somehow Secret Rule manage to pull it off, and the result is a very good album.

TRACK LIST:

1) The Journey
2) The Sin
3) True Friend
4) Lifeless
5) Sensation
6) I don't wanna be
7) Sleep Forever
8) Reena
9) My doors
10) Secret Place
11) Vision
12) Dawn of Crisis

LINE UP ALBUM:

Vocals – Angela Di Vincenzo
Guitar – Andy Menario
Bass Guitar – Michele Raspanti
Drums – Ruben Ramirez

"UNInVERSE," the album, marks a significant stride in the evolution of our sound. With contemporary riffs and symphonic melodies, we've crafted a sonic journey that blends diverse musical styles and explores profound themes. It's an epic yet unapologetically outspoken album.

In response to the tumultuous world events of recent years, we confronted chaos and turbulence, envisioning the possibility of resetting the Universe (Universe + Inverse = UNInVERSE). In this concept, humanity gets a second chance to live harmoniously with the Universe as well as with itself.

"UNInVERSE" is more than just music; it's a sonic exploration that pushes boundaries and encourages listeners to contemplate their role in the grand scheme. Conceived during a time of internal growth and external chaos, the record captures the urgency of the present while honoring the band’s roots in emotional, melodic, and symphonic metal.

The album was developed from the ground up by co-founders Angela Di Vincenzo (vocals/lyrics) and Andy Menario (guitar/production), whose synergy continues to define Secret Rule’s sound. But X also marks a turning point: the entrance of bassist Sofia Basili and drummer Andrea Miazzetto during the writing process infused the material with a renewed sense of cohesion and vitality. Their contributions created a rhythm section that is tighter, more expressive, and more dynamic than ever before.

Entirely self-produced, X showcases the band’s complete creative control. Andy Menario managed every technical aspect—from arrangements to mixing and mastering—while Angela brought emotional authenticity to the lyrical and melodic construction. Together, they shaped an album that is both intricate and immediate, blending accessibility with technical refinement.

Lyrically, X is a journey through fragmentation and rebirth. It touches on climate collapse (Echoes of the Earth), digital alienation (Walking Down the Street), inner turmoil (Silent Pain), and personal defiance (Just a Sacrifice, The Answer). Yet even at its darkest, the record offers glimmers of resilience and resolve — it is music that stands tall in the storm. This duality between vulnerability and strength defines the album’s emotional landscape.

X is not a retrospective; it is a bold step forward. Empowered, focused, and fearlessly expressive, Secret Rule embrace a new chapter with full creative confidence. The result is their most ambitious, cohesive, and emotionally charged work to date.

Secret Rule’s X expands the band’s sonic identity while preserving the melodic core that has defined their career. Built upon a symphonic metal framework, the album draws from a wide spectrum of modern influences — including electronic textures, metalcore-inspired breakdowns, cinematic atmospheres, and even subtle rap passages — making it their most stylistically diverse album yet.

The guitars are sharp and groove-oriented, providing a solid foundation of heaviness, while the keyboards offer both orchestral grandeur and contemporary digital layering. Vocals by Angela Di Vincenzo range from ethereal and haunting to powerful and commanding, anchoring each song with emotional clarity. The addition of Sofia Basili’s backing vocals and Andrea Miazzetto’s dynamic drum work provides a rhythmic complexity and harmonic depth that elevate the entire production.

The band draws inspiration from modern genre-benders like Amaranthe and symphonic mainstays like Within Temptation, pushing boundaries while remaining grounded in their signature identity. Tracks like The Answer and Destiny Reloaded combine anthemic choruses with layered grooves, while Echoes of the Earth and In the Silence offer introspective moments wrapped in cinematic intensity.

Secret Rule has always blurred boundaries between accessibility and complexity, and X takes this one step further.
